Nutrition

At our centers, all play and learning are supported by a healthy, balanced nutritional program. Children enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack every day, thoughtfully made by our in-house chef to provide the energy and nutrients they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Sanitizing & Cleaning Procedures

We prioritize a clean, safe environment to protect children from the spread of germs. Classrooms are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day, with thorough end-of-day cleaning using child-safe products. In addition, a daily cleaning crew ensures the entire campus stays spotless.

Proper handwashing practices are followed by staff, children, and volunteers, meeting all childcare regulations. Children are guided to wash hands with soap and running water using research-backed techniques proven to prevent the spread of germs.

Security & Safety

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Each classroom and all facility entrances are monitored by video cameras, which can be viewed by our Executive Director and Assistant Director at any time. Unarmed security officers are stationed near the parking garage and Welcome Center, and the campus is regularly patrolled by both armed Dallas Police Department officers and additional unarmed security personnel.

Emergency Closings

In the event of severe weather or other emergencies, the Day School may follow the decisions of DISD, First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, or make independent decisions based on what is safest for our students. Parents are notified promptly of closures through brightwheel messages.

Emergency Preparedness

We maintain a comprehensive emergency plan to ensure children and staff are prepared for any situation. Fire drills are conducted monthly, while severe weather and lockdown drills take place quarterly. Copies of all emergency procedures are kept in each classroom for easy reference.
